Jerome Streets Interviews Always Proper

So I been on this group for a minute now. I thought it was about time I find out more about them. So I interviewed Disco Burger, one of the originators to AP.

How did the name of the group come about?

Disco Burger thought of the name actually. He said proper music should be made always. Always. Hence Always Proper.

Where are you guys from, and what's the music scene like in those places?

We're mostly from the Southwest.
Disco Burger, Rituvls and luxor are from El Paso, Texas. Leaf Beach is from Houston, Texas. Olmos is from Cali, and the others are in other countries like Low Earth Orbit is in France and Cygn is from Germany.
I, Disco Burger just moved to Denver, Colorado with Rituvls last week to seek better opportunities with this, and so far its been going pretty good. We started a radio show out of the blue last Sunday and it popped off !

That's great. Who and what influenced the group to come up with the unique, soulful sound you guys create?

Honestly, sound exploration. I tried to make something that would stand out from all the music coming out, and these dudes started hitting me up because they clicked with the wave i was trying to start. So I made this platform for us.

Other than music, what other ventures does the group look into?

Long walks, skateboarding, graffiti, star gazing and a we enjoy a good punk show. One day i wish to combine the carelessness of the punk scene with this chilled out vibe train.

I be on that same train bro. With 2 installments of 4Am Music out, what is your next step with music and the group?

We're actually already making Volume 3! Now were gonna focus on getting releases for each of our artists and booking good artists for the radio show. we got Blap Deli for the second episode and Sumi for the third. It's a blessing to have them as guests. So we're gonna try to make that as Proper as possible.

Can't wait man! Are there any vocal artists that you want to work with at the moment?

Yes! We would love to start collaborating with female singers and anyone doing R&B. We love the soulful singers. We want to work with rappers but we're pretty picky about that.

Is my blog your very first blog that you're featured on?

Yes it is actually (Awesome!). So sorry if our answers are stupid but we're stoked and super grateful for the opportunity and support man. We feel blessed. It's a great feeling knowing someone so far vibes this hard to us. Much love man.

Who's your favorite artists that out right now?

Too many to mention man. But the top five would be Sango, Deadxbeat, Esta, Psymun, and Swum, in no particular order.

Where does the group expect to be in 5 years?

Hopefully sharing a house in California or NY with the whole team and touring. Feeding ears world wide and stuff. Dream big right?

Dream big is right. And while I was putting the posts together, Disco made a mix dedicated to my #teamstreets21 brand and this interview, for those who are new to AP. It's only Proper that you listen. Special thanks to Disco and the whole Always Proper team for the appreciation & support.
